Central Valley Rails to Trails Ready to Get Back on Track
The High Speed Rail Authority may begin some community outreach soon relating to the Sacramento to Merced segment. This means our supporters will have a chance to let them know the Central CA Traction Rail Corridor has a promising future – as a trail!
To prepare for that possibility, CVRTF will be raising funds to support a Communications Campaign that will help us get the word out to adjacent property owners, and local businesses and community members. We need to raise $10,000 to cover a mailed survey, printed materials and some advertising to get the word out.
The timing couldn’t be better since next Tuesday, May 6, is the Day Of Giving where donors in the greater Sacramento Region will choose from hundreds of non-profits seeking financial support. Central Valley Rails to Trails will be a part of this exciting day, and we ask that you visit GiveLocalNow.org to make a donation to our communications program.
Here’s how you can help..
Planning to attend TrailFest on October 11 this year? You can visit the TrailFest 2014 website and learn about this year’s event. If you plan to sponsor a Table, or even better, be a Gold Sponsor, we encourage you to donate via the GiveLocalNow.org link and we will attribute that donation to your TrailFest sponsorship. Shoot us an email, or post on our Facebook page that your donation is meant to cover your sponsorship. Our brainy CPA/Treasurer will be sure to keep the records straight!
Why do it this way?? Because funds will be partially matched on this day only! It’s a great opportunity to support TrailFest and our Communications Campaign!
If you’re not sure yet about TrailFest, visit this link that is dedicated to the May 6 Day of Giving page for CVRTF.
Donate anytime within the 24-hour time period and help us promote this trail! You can use VISA – Mastercard – Discover – American Express to make your donation. Only online contributions at this link will count toward the matching funds.
