Central Valley Rails to Trails Foundation

BuiltWithNOF

The Central Valley Rails to Trails Foundation is developing a conceptual plan for the CCT rail trail.  The plan will include trail layout, privacy and security features, bike and horse accommodations, bridge retrofit concepts, potential funding sources and maps of the corridor.  The maps will detail linkages to planned and existing trails and recreation areas, alternative commuting opportunities, safe routes to schools and business centers and nearby bus and light rail stops. As CVRTF works through the conceptual process, adjacent property owners and community members will be consulted and encouraged to offer ideas.

CVRTF appreciates the donated professional services of all who are participating in creating the conceptual plan.  In particular, Kathy Jacobson, Landscape Designer with Stantec; Marc Guerrette, Architect; and Dave Wilcox, GIS Specialist with the  City of Sacramento have made important contributions to this project.

While the goal is to produce the plan using volunteer resources, CVRTF is seeking donations and grants to cover the estimated cost of $50,000 to complete the research, planning and printing associated with the conceptual plan. We also welcome in-kind donations of printing, planning, grant writing and other related services from supporters of the rail trail.  Donations will be acknowledged and are tax deductible.  Please contact CVRTF if you can provide assistance.
