The Central Valley Rails to Trails Foundation participates in community events that take place in the vicinity of the Central California Traction Rail Corridor. The Foundation also sponsors the annual TrailFest fundraising and educational event in early May. Whether it is a chili cook-off at the Woodbridge Winery or Elk Grove’s Western Festival, CVRTF has been a part of the communities in Sacramento and San Joaquin Counties for over 8 years. Our volunteers are also pleased to participate in community forums including local government hearings on trail development and as speakers for service organizations and homeowner meetings. Presenters can also be provided for employee gatherings and recreation events. Contact CVRTF to request participation in your event.

Good Neighbors: Woodbridge Winery ___________________________________________
The harvest season at Woodbridge Winery was opened with the annual Blessing of the Grapes on August 7th. Woodbridge Winery is located at the southern end of the proposed Central Valley Rail Trail. Bikes are a familiar site at the Winery, which will be a favorite stop off for cyclists and other users of the trail.
Agri-Tourism will be greatly benefited by the creation of the rail trail along the CCTC rail corridor. Adjacent wineries are looking forward to welcoming cyclists and others who will use the trail to access the wine country in Southeast Sacramento and San Joaquin Counties.
